چکیده
Abstract Due to the high demand for natural aggregates in pavement construction, researchers have been looking alternative materials replace aggregate. In this research, optimum binder content of asphalt mixture incorporate limestones was investigated. The tested according Marshall method. About 20 % limestone used as aggregate replacement asphaltic concrete mixture. To determine stability, volumetric properties, and bitumen content, three percentage namely 4.0%, 5.0% 6.0% prepared. From analysis, it indicated that stability properties meet requirement set by JKR. result obtained, control sample is 5.2%. slightly different value indicate comparable with

Determination of Optimum Bitumen Content and Marshall Stability Using Neural Networks for Asphaltic Concrete Mixtures
Neural Networks technology provides several reliant analysis in many science and technology applications. In particular neural network is often applied to the development of statistical models for intrinsically non-linear systems, since neural networks behave better in complex conditions. In this research, applications of neural networks in determination of optimum bitumen content, Marshall Sta...
متن کاملFresh and Hardened Properties of Self Compacting Concrete Incorporating Different Binder Materials
Self compacting concrete (SCC) is an innovative development of conventional concrete, which requires high binder content to increase its segregation resistance. This paper presents a comparative study on the use of different materials as binder content in SCC and their effects on the workability and strength properties are checked. Different combinations of Fly ash, Metakaolin and Saw dust ash ...
متن کاملInvestigating the Performance Characteristics of Asphaltic Concrete Containing Nano-Silica
Using nano-technology materials in the asphalt pavement industry is new compared with Portland cement concrete. The main objective of this study is to investigate the effects of nano-silica modification on some properties of a penetration grade asphalt cement and a typical asphalt concrete. 60/70 penetration grade bitumen was modified with different percentages of nano-silica (i.e. 1, 3 and 5%,...
متن کاملInvestigation of Mechanical Properties of Asphalt Concrete Containing Styrene Butadiene Styrene
This paper discusses the laboratory design of continuously graded asphaltic concrete mixtures containing styrene butadiene styrene (SBS). The purpose of this study is to evaluate mechanical properties of control and SBS modified asphalt mixtures. Furthermore rheological properties of conventional and modified asphalt in different SBS content were studied. AC-10 was used as binder in the study. ...
